These pieces are secured in place with plaster or mortar. Mosaic is an ancient art form with origins in Mesopotamia in the 3 rd millennium BC.

Jewelry or micro mosaic pieces using very small mosaic pieces of glass or other material to make small figurative patterns/images. Popularized during the Renaissance, and developed into a thriving industry this art form captures Italy’s rich artistic tradition.
